Joy Dare: 3 Gifts From Your Home

I found a beautiful page and blog that has inspired me. And even though I am a procrastinator and didn't find it until a while ago AND still have not done much with it besides look it over, today's joy dare was just too perfect to ignore. SO... I am going to take some time and be thankful for all God has given me.
First things first, here is a link to the page:
A Holy Experience
Her name is Ann Voskamp and she has done a tremendous job of setting up a way for you to easily count 1000 blessings in a year. Even as much as a procrastinator as I am there is no way for me to "skip" it...

1. Closeness - We have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house and 6 kids. There really isn't any hiding away from mom and dad, so we have been able to really watch our kids grow.

2. A sense of belonging, no matter where else I go - this is always HOME.

3. Shelter from the storms, both literally and figuratively.

Hand prints from our kids (and wings from the oldest who was at school)mark the sidewalk we put in last year. HOME.

A Husky who greets us when we come back. HOME.

A bird who made her HOME, in our tree. The one we look at as we drive up, hang our lights on at Christmas, watch bloom in the summer, take care to shake the snow off when the white stuff gets too thick on the branches.

All of us getting pictures when we get the chance, because now the oldest is away at school most of the year. Where ever all of us are together... HOME.

 My favorite tree. HOME.

Hours of fun have been had in that club house... rain, snow, sun.... in all types of weather. The kids helped to build it, have helped repair it. Memories are made here.  HOME.

Surprise visitors come calling at our HOME... giving the kids joy, making them ask more questions, giving us things to look up as we do our school...

                                                                     AT HOME.
